Aimee became a nutritionist, researcher, and infertility advocate after more than a decade of autoimmunity, chronic health issues, mental health challenges, and recurrent pregnancy loss.
With an educational background that started in creative and professional writing and moved into nutrition science, Aimee is currently pursuing a PhD in nutrition, with special focus on maternal health and high-risk pregnancies. Aimee is a certified nutritionist who specializes in women's health, with expertise in thyroid disease and infertility.
Aimee's first book, THE EVERYTHING GUIDE TO HASHIMOTO'S THYROIDITIS, details the ins and outs of Hashimoto’s and thyroid disorders, along with a complete diet and wellness plan—the same plan that she used with herself and thousands of other women to eat for health. But she does not ascribe to any one dietary modality and believes that everyone must follow an individualized plan for wellness.
After Aimee started having miscarriages, much of her professional research turned to infertility and autoimmunity. After 18 miscarriages, finding a team of amazing doctors, and more heparin shots than she ever could have dreamed, Aimee is now the grateful mom of two boys, ages 4 and 2, and a 1-year-old baby girl. She lives with her family in the Midwest.
